Circulation (Resource Manager)
An efficient method of circulating resources saves you time, ensures students get needed materials, and helps maintain inventory accuracy.
You have several checkout options – To Patron, To Department, To Location, By Class, and To Teacher.
- To Patron is ideal for checking out barcoded and unbarcoded items, and consumables to staff and students for individual use.
- To Department and To Location let you track temporary loans, and relocate resources.
Example: You might loan prisms from the Science department to the Math department for a geometry lesson. You might use To Location to check out a computer cart to the library when the librarian is hosting a computer club meeting.
- By Class requires class schedules to be loaded and lets you check out resources to all students in a class without re-entering the teacher or class information.
- To Teacher lets you check out resources used in a classroom to a teacher. The teacher can either remain responsible for those resources or can reassign them to students.
With the Check In Items feature, you can check in barcode, unbarcoded, and consumable items.
Note: When checking out to an active patron, if a message about licensing appears, you do not have the correct site licensing according to your agreement. Contact your Follett Sales Representative for more information. |
